Angel Swim London Terms and Conditions
Booking
We will do our best to find a day and time that suits you and your child. Once your booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with the date and time of your first lesson.
Please note, a one-off £20 booking fee will be added to your first month’s fees. We can only confirm your slot upon receipt of a completed Direct Debit mandate, which we will provide.
At Angel Swim, we take pride in the high level of service we offer and the confident, capable swimmers our program helps to develop. To ensure you receive the full benefits of our progressive and carefully designed curriculum, we ask that you commit to a minimum of one school term of lessons
Fee Structure
Angel Swim London operates on a flat monthly rate, collected via Direct Debit on the 1st of each month. Fees vary depending on the venue and whether you enrol in group or private lessons.
Payments are charged upfront each month and remain consistent throughout the year. We are closed during school holidays (please refer to our Term Times).
Angel Swim London charges only for 39 weeks of lessons per year, excluding school holidays. However, to provide consistency and convenience, the total annual cost is divided evenly into 12 equal monthly payments. This means that although lessons do not run during school holidays, monthly fees remain the same throughout the year.
In the event that a Direct Debit payment fails and a manual invoice must be issued, a £25 late payment fee will be added to your invoice.
Trial
We do offer 1 trial lesson across all our venues when needed before commitment.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your lessons, we require one month’s written notice. Following this, your Direct Debit will be cancelled.
Please note that once you cancel your lessons, we will not be able to reserve your time slot. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and have a long waiting list. As soon as a space becomes available, it is immediately offered to the next person on the list.
Make-up Lessons Policy
Please note that missed lessons are considered forfeited. We do not offer make-up lessons, refunds, or credits for any missed classes.
Due to the structure and demand of our programme, we are unable to accommodate make-up sessions. We strongly encourage consistent attendance, as regular participation leads to steady and meaningful progress.
Illness
Never come to your swimming lesson if you and/or your child have any illness, such as, but not limited to: chest infection, conjunctivitis, measles, impetigo, ear infections, asthma or a heavy cold (first days of the cold). Please DO NOT come to your swimming lesson until the symptoms have cleared at least 48 hours prior to your swimming lesson or when your doctor has given the all-clear.
If your child has just a running nose but feels happy and active you will be able to come to your swimming lesson unless your GP has advised you otherwise. Under no circumstances must anyone suffering from diarrhoea or vomiting attend swimming during illness and up to 2 weeks after full recovery and stools have returned to normal. If you are concerned about any medical condition, we ask that you always check with your GP before coming to any lessons.
Photo Image Rights
In line with the 1988 Copyright Act, Angel Swim London reserves the right to use any or all photography or video taken by us during our Angel Swim London Photoshoots for our own publicity and promotion purposes. Such images remain the sole property of Angel Swim London and your agreement to these terms releases all image rights in favour of Angel Swim London.
Teachers
At Angel Swim London, we strive to provide continuity by assigning the same teacher to your class for the entire term. However, in rare cases—such as teacher illness or emergencies—we may need to provide a cover teacher. In such instances, we ensure that the cover teacher is fully briefed on each class's swimming ability, medical conditions, and any special requirements to ensure a smooth transition and continued progress.
All of our teachers hold an ASA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming or the STA equivalent. In addition, every instructor completes thorough in-house training with Angel Swim London to ensure the highest standards of teaching practice.
Mandatory and Accepted Swimwear
At Angel Swim London, we follow a strict double nappy policy for all babies who are not yet potty trained. This involves wearing a Huggies swim nappy (available at all major supermarkets) underneath a “Happy Nappy” — a neoprene, wetsuit-like cover.
This double layer of protection helps contain any little “accidents,” ensuring the pool stays clean and lessons can continue uninterrupted for everyone.
Code of conduct
No running on the poolside or in the changing rooms.
No eating or drinking fizzy drinks poolside (water is allowed).
Please remove your shoes at the door or use the provided blue overshoes.
Shower before and after entering the pool to maintain good hygiene.
Parents of babies aged 0–2 years should pass their child to the instructor and enter the pool using the ladder.
Parents with children aged 2 years and older should allow their child to enter the pool by climbing the ladder; the instructor will guide them down the other side.
During lessons, it is essential that parents follow the teacher’s instructions. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or worse, so please listen carefully to your designated aquatic professional.
Submersion is a key part of our swimming programme and an important step in your child’s aquatic development. However, we only submerge babies when they are aware and comfortable. We never force any child to submerge if they are unhappy or resisting.
Please supervise your child at all times while at Angel Swim London—from the moment you enter the school gate until you leave. We will do everything possible to ensure your child’s safety in the pool, but it is your responsibility to supervise them while changing before and after lessons.
Spectators
If you want to bring more than one child to lessons they MUST to accompanied by an adult at all times. You are welcome to bring a member of your family along to watch lessons from poolside.
Lost Property and Valuables
If you lose any valuable items please inform the instructor on the day and email us when you get home and we will do our best to find it. However, we cannot accept responsibility for any lost items so make sure your valuables are well secured and taken care of.
